Data collected

Your email address and an encrypted password when you create an account.

Payment details for a premium subscription, processed directly by Stripe and never stored by us.

Your name, email, and message if you use the contact or coach application form (plus your chess level for the latter, if provided).

Your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter, with the option to unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Technical browsing data (session cookie, language preference) and anonymized audience statistics via Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies.

Purposes

Creating and managing your member account.

Giving you access to the course catalog, coaching, and tournaments.

Processing and billing your premium subscription.

Replying to messages sent through the contact form or processing coach applications.

Contacting you about any question related to your account.

Sending you the newsletter if you subscribed to it.

Legal basis

Processing is based on the performance of the contract between you and RiaChess (account creation, subscription) and, for technical aspects, on our legitimate interest in keeping the site running properly.

Data recipients

Your data may be shared with our technical processors: Stripe (payment and billing), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (site hosting and audience statistics), and Resend (transactional emails). No data is sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Retention period

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active, then deleted or archived within the legal timeframes applicable after account closure.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your data. To exercise these rights, contact riadh.mnasri@wehightech.com. You may also file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Cookies

The site uses a technical session cookie (authentication) and a language-preference cookie, both strictly necessary for the site to function. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used at this time. A cookie-less audience measurement tool (Vercel Analytics) is also used to produce anonymized traffic statistics.
