Terms of use and sale
Last updated: August 20, 2026
In the event of any discrepancy, only the French version is legally binding.
Purpose
These terms govern the use of the RiaChess site, published by WEHIGHTECH, and the subscription to the premium plan offered on the site.
Access to the service
Access to the course catalog and news is free after creating an account. Access to live coaching and the academy's internal tournaments is reserved for members with a paid premium subscription.
Member account
Creating an account requires a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from your account.
Minors
RiaChess offers coaching sessions adapted for children. For a member under 15, the account must be created by the holder of parental authority, who accepts these terms on the child's behalf and supervises their use of the site.
Premium subscription and payment
The premium subscription is billed monthly, with no fixed commitment period, through our payment provider Stripe. The price shown on the Pricing page includes all taxes. The subscription renews automatically each month until canceled.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your member area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the already-billed period; no pro-rata refund is issued.
Right of withdrawal
Under Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content or a service fully performed before the end of the legal withdrawal period, once you have expressly waived that right at the time of subscribing.
User obligations
You agree to use the site as intended, not to infringe the rights of WEHIGHTECH or third parties, and not to disrupt the proper operation of the service.
Liability
WEHIGHTECH does its best to keep the site available but cannot guarantee continuous, error-free access. It cannot be held liable for temporary service interruptions.
Consumer mediation
If a dispute is not resolved directly with our customer service, you may refer it to consumer mediation. The competent mediator's contact details will be provided here before paid subscriptions reopen.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Absent an amicable resolution, any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
